Site Analysis and Appraisal
These sketches were taken from the very start of a project, where I was using them to analyse how the existing landscape elements worked together to create different experiences across the site.
I worked as part of the design team on this project from concept through to planning, alongside a range of experts including archaeologists, conservationists, ecologists, traffic consultants, visitor experience managers and park rangers.

Concept design
These conceptual drawings illustrate my first thoughts about how the dwelling interacts with the wider landscape, and how the garden can form a meeting point of the ecosystems which form the surroundings.

Developed Design
This project capitalised on the stunning rural views and, working with ecologists, we enhanced the habitat value of the site, connecting into local ecosystems. I worked on this project from concept through to planning, including presenting at design review panel.

Site Analysis and Sense of Place
Here I was sketching to establish the character of old Frome, with the aim of using this as inspiration for the regeneration proposals, and therefore creating a unique sense of place in the new proposals.

Developed Design
Here I worked as part of a community led design team on proposals for an old industrial area of Frome to be regenerated into housing, commercial, educational and community quarters. Illustration shows sustainable drainage swales used to thread green space throughout the development.
